hey guys i am debating between 2 22lr rifles that i am thinking about buying

1st id like to explain what i am looking for.
a small compact 22 that i can take with me on the boat fishing camping canoeing hunting hiking quading etc
id like something accurate and easy to assemble. durable and covienient

from most research i've done people have said to go for the henry a7 however a few people have told me i should go for the 10/22 takedown
the a7 is compact and waterproof which i like but feels kind of awkward to shoot. the 10/22 is a bit bigger and comes with its own bag but feels comfortable holding hmmmmmmm any insight gun nutz??? :bangHead:

its important to let that trigger surprise you

Another option is the Browning SA-22 (a.k.a. ATD-22) which is also a take-down design. Or the Norinco copy JW-20 for about 1/5 the price.

CZ 452 Scout. Compact, light and very accurate.

^This...or save a bunch of $ and get a Norinco JW15-A "Backpacker". I have one, paid $175 for it...and it's been an excellent gun. I use CZ 452 mags with mine, but the Norinco 5 round mag is serviceable. I like how compact Papoose/A7 are...but I also like to enjoy a gun when I'm shooting it. The Backpacker feels like a normal-sized .22 rifle...just with a 13" barrel. If it were a survival situation and every oz./every square inch of space mattered...then maybe one of those, but for what you describe~Backpacker. Scout if you get a better tax return than I do. :)
