How tricky is the cerakote process/expensive to get yourself set up?

The pain is to sand blast everything, I go to a friend's work shop so it's not too bad but I used to do it outside of my house and it was really bad, sand everywhere.. Other than that you need an airbrush and an air compressor, and you have to be extremely precise when you mix everything cause the hardener ratio will affect how shiny the end result is. Less hardener flatter finish. I cook the pieces in my kitchen oven and it works perfectly. Also you have to be careful to airbrush enough paint on the metal it s very easy to put too little. It really has to look wet when you shoot the paint.
