Forgive me if this is a ridiculous question, but I am completely new to the 'black rifle' world. I'm interested in the Colt AR15, and wondering who the good Colt dealers in Canada are (i'm located in Ontario) and what the going rate is for one. Thanks

Cold hammer forged barrel vs button drilled, SA15.7 has the Simon Sleeve instead of the notch cut near the end of the barrel, heavy barrel full length, Colt Americas barrel typically "thins down" (fighting for proper term, long day at work, mind is blank) under the front hand guard, CF issue buttstock, different lower receivers, and of course, can't forget the maple leaf on the side of the lower receiver.

So there's a sa 15.7 and a sa 20 for sale , from a member. I know that these are the barrel lengths , and the sa15.7 costs a few hundre more. I kinda like the sa 15.7 and was wondering if it's a c7 or c8, and what is the didfference between the 2?

Here is my C8, You get a real 15.7 barrel and its not a front heavy like the C7

I looked on the Colt USA site, the model I like is listed as Colt AR15A4, it mimucs the look of the old military M16. Don't see it listed on the Colt Canada site, so maybe it's not available in Canada?
it looks like the colt Diemaco sa 20 ,with a different butt stock, and a carry handle.

Yes i guess it does. I like the look of the orig style stock and carry handle though.
ya, I understand, I like the flat top look personally . But you can put whatever butt stock you want on there, ( I think you can anyways). I would go with the CTR stock myself. And if you compare prices, the Mrsp on the us colt is $1295 us = $1700 ish. Colt canada $1800.. So pretty comparable in price.

Made in Canada :) Better Barrels and only 500 C7 and 500 C8 made.

And the warranty is bullet proof and great C.S service

^x2 and I would add they are an anniversary edition so re-sale values will likely be higher as Colt Canada offered only 490 of each to be released to the public for sale, when they're gone they're gone...

Definitely a top tier AR of higher quality then their American made counterpart.

Cheers D
