Just wondering who has a Full Line Dealer X-Bolt Hunter with the raised cheek piece,...and how do you like it, fit and finish.
The reason I am asking this is because I have a X-Bolt Stainless Stalker that I just bought in November and it is a nice gun and very accurate, but I just can't seem to warm up to the black synthetic and stainless steel. I am more of a traditional kinda guy and really prefer the wood and blue rifles. I like the Monte Carlo style of the Full Line Dealer but I have not had one in my hands. I am thinking of trading my stainless in on one, so I thought I would ask you guys what you think of them. Pictures of these guns are hard to find so feel free to post some if you have them.

Thanks.

I have one in 308. Went in to the shop to buy the medallion version, started handling that when the dealer brought out the full line dealer version, and said check this out.
Brought it up to the shoulder, and it felt way nicer to aim and more comfortable, ended up buying it over the medallion.

Have you tried calling Lequilles Country store in Annapolis. They are a full Browning Dealer, and have lots of guns. I have driven there a lot from here (about 45mins) just to get some gear, jerky, pepperoni and chat with Dan and his staff. Very nice visits down there.

Yes I have dealt with Danny, Tony, and Amy and they are great to deal with. Back in November when I bought the Stainless Stalker I was talking to them and they do have the Full Line Dealer in stock. I should have went there to buy the Stainless Stalker and handle the FLD but I didn't,...the little voice in my head was telling me to drive the extra distance and handle/look at a bunch of guns,..but I didn't and now I am kinda kickin my ass. Don't get me wrong,..the Stainless Stalker is a very nice gun, but I like the traditional wood and blue. I have handled/shouldered the White Gold Medallion A-Bolt, (same stock configuration), and it fits me nice.

Tobacco Brook,

I recently purchased a new Browning X-Bolt Eclipse Hunter in 30.06. I was in to an outfit called LeBaron's in Ontario where I live, saw this thing, shouldered it, and it basically jumped in the truck and followed me home. I mounted up a new Nikon to it, took it up to the range, and within 12 rounds (6 @ 50 yards, 6 at 100 yds) was pretty much zeroed with 3/4" groups of three. What a shooter, I was astonished.

I am a wood-and-blued-rifle guy - but when I saw the laminated stock and blued metal on the Eclipse I fell in love instantly. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the thumb hole stock - but I found it worked for me, and the stock is configured to not use the thumb hole if not needed or wanted. Speaking to LeBaron's gun room guy recently, he's very knowledgeable, he said they've had several come in the store, and they sell within 48 hours of going on the shelf.

I mention only so you have an alternative to look at if you wish - I can testify from personal experience that this thing is very, very nice to handle and shoot.

Only the Browning full line dealers can get these, I'm told. Here's the URL if you want some add'l info. http://www.browning.com/products/catalog/firearms/finder.asp?f1=023B Those Eclipse Hunters are about 1/3 down the page. Not too many of my fellow Club members had ever seen one until I brought mine out, a number tried mine and were very interested in having a look at buying one.

Got any pictures of it you want to share? lol. Other than the 1 picture on the Browning site, I can not find any good pics on the internet of this gun.
