What happens if I hit IGNORE?

Hey guys!
Just wondering what happens if a person hits the IGNORE icon?
Does the other person end up in Oz? Syria? Middle of a Louisiana swamp listening to banjo music?
Do you not see their posts? Can't PM them? Can you un- ignore someone after you ignore them?
Never had to use it and hope I never have to. Just wondering what happens...

View their profile and on the left near the top...3rd option under their avatar. Makes CGN much more enjoyable afterwards...same effect as pulling weeds in the garden...or flushing the toilet in some cases.

I've always been able to ignore people without having to push a button. But if it makes you feel better.....

I use the ignore mostly with folk who are problematic to deal with on the EE and as a reminder of who I'd rather not deal with in the future. A lot who go there are poor at communicating in a timely fashion and/or who are rude. My current list is at about 80.

Even with ignore, the post is there just content hidden. You can hit view post anytime too

I wouldn't buy off someone on my ignore list, cause I don't like them. No matter what the deal was.
I love and use the ignore feature on all forums I'm a member of.

When you IGNORE someone, do they get a notification that they've been IGNORED by you?
