Revolver help please

Note: 929 & 986 come with Titanium cylinders, pretty rare these days, may not be offered for long...just saying.

Forgot to mention...if I had to choose one it would be the 986 hands down.

Does everything well.
IMHO, it's the perfect all around Revolver

OK, sounds like the 929 or 986 would be great. Thanks!

Buy a S&W 686 - you won't regret it.........

OK, i currently own a 686, M27 in 6" and 3", a 627 and a 686 pro series...(only counting the 357 here) oh, and an older 65. I also have a 625. For competition i far and away prefer the 65, mostly because it's a 4" and point/handles faster. But when money isn't an object, or when i'm motivated to reload the 625 is even more fun, reloads much faster with moon clips and is only marginally slower then the lighter 65 shooting +P 38.

I love the 627, but since most games won't let you load it up, and the fact that 38 and 357 are really wobbly in moon clips, it's slower to reload. And 38 brass is really finicky, some brands won't fit in moon clips anyways. I'd dearly love to have the 627 in 38 super or say a 610 in 40, but haven't found a 610 that wouldn't break the bank yet.

I'm really eyeing up the 9mm revolvers, but i'm seeing lots of complaints out of the states of sticky extraction from the Ti cylinders with hot loads....so i'll wait a bit longer. 38/357 is more versitile, but since all we can do with them in Canada is shoot paper, it's really a moot point.

When shooting for fun, anymore i mostly shoot my 6" K38, because 1.5-2" groups at 25 yards are fun....But i have a Dan wesson and a small pile of barrels for it that are entertaining as well. If there was metallic silhouette anywhere around here, i'd probably shoot it with heavy bullet/heavy load 357.

Cost wise, 9mm is far and away going to be the cheapest. If you reload, you can do 9 or 38 for the same price, but 357 will be marginally more (more powder burnt) and 45 is about half again as much, as your throwing much more lead down range, and metal prices are up ....

You won't go wrong with any of them...;)
