In the wrap No4 Enfield valuation

I don't know if both sold but not long ago I seen two mint 50's era ftr (not marked) longbranch rifles on the EE, posted back to back. One was priced at 1200 the other at 850. The 850 one was SPF in a minute and the 1200 one was pls remove shortly after. People are going crazy over the longbranch rifles and will pay a premium.

Longbranch 1950, consecutive numbers, still wrapped, greased and in the crate.......

Very fitting that the chest is painted GOLDEN!!!!! Spectacular!!! I can't see the OP's picture, but I bet it is beautiful as well! I should go have a look at my very nice 43' longbranch and see what kind of markings it has on it too. Pretty sure mine is one of the non-FTR marked refurbs.

That's a great crate!!!

It's the WWII Enfields that were almost all refurbished. I don't know of any mint/unissued WWII examples -- must be out there somewhere but extremely rare. 1950's dated Lb's seem to surface unrefurbished from time to time.

With the demand for Enfields rising, the mint/unmarked refurbished examples seem to be bringing more money.

-Steve
