Ok i recently told a guy I would take a 22 he had listed, he asked for my pal info, I sent it to him promptly and said I would send the emt in the morning and I did. Then all of a sudden he tells me he's sold it to another guy that sent emt before me? This is the first time I've been in this position, we both have a very good seller rating, but I'm left here pissed and not knowing what to do. I told him I would leave negative feedback and he said he will do the same for me.. I thought first I'll take it wins? Not first emt... what do you guys think?

I would say that if you have a written acknowledgement, in an email, stating what you are saying and him agreeing would suffice as a "done deal". Not knowing all the details, I can only go from what is presented. Did he acknowledge your response saying you would emt? If so, that should prove the deal streuck between you two. I'm sure someone out there has an actual link to "Legal Business Deal Stuff".

Forum rules state:

The solicitation for offers by sellers to demand delivery of fund by buyers as a condition to submit offers, these include any variations of the "First delivered EMT to my mail box gets it", is not permitted;

Yeah seems like he's selling it to the other guy regardless, I said I would take it for agreed asking price, he asked for my pal, I sent it to him right away, but I told him I'd only be able to send the emt this morning as my wife does that stuff and I did. Then he tells me he's sold it to a other guy....I would think the part of him asking me for my pal info would seal the deal. I've done my part and now don't know what to do, this is the first bad experience I've had, ever on this site

so, he accepted your offer, and then sold it to someone else? That's low.

Sounds like a stand up kinda guy. Maybe refer him to this thread so he can maybe state his side?

I'm wondering if this is why you posted a for sale thread with "first emt gets it" last night.... contrary to forum rules...

I see that it's gone now...

I went through the same thing with "little douche coup" and an 1895CB. First EMT wins is BS. You then potentially have multiple EMT's to the same seller for a single item. They all cost a small fee to send and an unscrupulous seller could cash them all. That is why there is a RULE against it NOW. There wasn't when the 1895 fiasco happened.

I think you should just out the seller and then put him on your ignore list. We all lose out on deals to losers who don't follow the rules or have any honor.
Upping the price because of interest is another classless move.
look on the bright side, maybe he was just collecting PAL info, not screwing you out of an iron...
The world is full of @sshats, some are bound to wind up here.

You are well justified to be p*ssed off. You handled this right, the seller failed to deliver.

I don't think you need to add a negative feedback to your frustration, be a good sport and move on.

I would be more concerned with a stranger stiffing me with personal and pal info while not delivering on a deal.

If you were first in line you should have also been given first right of refusal if he had multiple offers. I would be really ticked off if that had happened to me.

I was first in line, I've done my part, the emt has been sent, I guess I'll see how this plays out, I'm pretty bitter regarding this whole situation

Did he accept the money? If he didn't you can still cancel it. I would be canceling it right away. And also report it.
