This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

I guess on the bright side, the guy I was talking to today said they are starting to see .22lr in general come in in more often now. But the numbers are still nowhere near what they used to get.

Basically everyone is limited to 200 rounds at a time no matter what brand for the forseeable future.

Cabelas had a sign saying "limit of 2 per customer for bulk rimfire ammunition" and when I asked the guys at the gun counter, they didn't know what was considered bulk ammo.......so they said if it says it's bulk ammo on the package then you can only have 2. None of those 100 pack CCI say "bulk" on them.

I just picked up a few boxes of Federal Automatch ammo this afternoon, it should keep me shooting for a while. Ive never shot this one before, hopefully its pretty good.

I really hope that's true I'm missing my regular 22 stock

Remington Bucket Of Bullet was $69 and the Winchester M22 was $49 about two years ago. I didn't stock up because I thought the price was outrageous. Soon we'll be plinking with .338 Lapua if this price gouging continues.

Did some fishing over the weekend at CT, picked up three bricks of Winchester Dynapoint, which brings me up to 2000 rounds plus a couple boxes of various other loads like CCI Segmented and Velocitors.

I consider my needs met, as that is plenty for plinking and gopher eradication over the summer when coupled with my airguns and centerfires.

At least we are starting to see more .22LR in stock. I was in south Texas last week, checked out four Academy stores, a Dicks Sporting goods and Gander Mountain.
No .22LR to be seen. Both CT stores in south Calgary have had stock on hand off and on for a while. I even managed to find some .22 mag recently.

Yep, I've stopped buying it. I shoot from January into April and just paper so the few thousand I have on hand will do.

Of course, I won't pass up a bargain though :) Like that will happen.....

How is that AE bulk treating everyone else?
My GSG it doesn't cycle half the time, and FTE's 25+% of the time.
My Savage MKII it FTE's 25% of the time (or more)as well.
Just sharpened my extractors and gave them a good cleanup, so we'll see how that goes, but so far, not a fan.
The POI on this stuff is also way different at 50yds than pretty much every other ammo I've tried.

38g or 40g?
RNS or HP?
I have a few K rounds of both hp rounds.
Works fine for the 4¢ price.
CCI mini mag @ 7.5¢ has NO issues but I expect that at that price.

The first time out with it I had about 25% FTE/stovepiping. I cleaned the gun up and haven't been out since.. I am hoping that fixes it but I'm doubtful.

Judging from the same experience maybe not. Hoping my mkii will extract better now, at least I can burn through them with that. Funnily enough the bucket o bullets is the best cycling round I've found in my gsg
