So my references were called last week and from what I can tell in Ontario there is about 4-5 days of wait after that for the approval so I'm getting the itch really bad now.
When my RPAL comes in i'm buying a .22 rifle (10/22), 1911 9mm, and an AR.
The AR is giving me a lot of trouble. I have the basic concept of uppers and lowers, but I was looking at a Windham carbon and apparently that is not compatible with other AR uppers? Then I looked at the S&W M&P and I was told at my LGS that it was also not compatible with a lot of AR accessories. I am looking for an entry level AR that's worth building on to. I don't want to buy a junk AR just to have one and then need to do it all over again once I try upgrading it. I looked into building one but as I have never taking a rifle apart I decided this probably isn't the best way to learn.
Can you recommend a good entry level AR around the $1000 mark?
