This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

Just grabbed 1500 rounds on the weekend. Cci stingers, federal target and blue box federal. Must have gotten lucky in Edmonton.
P and D in Edmonton has 500 round bulk boxes of Yellow Jackets and 1600 round ammo cans of CCI Mini Mag 40 grain solid nose.
500 rounds of Yellow Jackets - $66 per box if I recall?
1600 rounds of CCI Mini Mag with ammo can - $151
but they don't have very many left after I walked out

I ran down there as quick as I could and found the CCI ammo cans piled up.
Contemplated how many I should buy, (or how many the wife would let me get away with buying) and ended up just grabbing 2 of them.
Threw them in my car, and headed back in to look around (and contemplate buying more) and thats when I noticed they were closed (locked the door pretty much after I checked out the 2 cans).
So I got there probably 2 minutes before they closed....literally just made it to get these.

You finding the supply of .22lr improving?
It's hit and miss right now. Customers sometimes have no idea the amount of effort dealers are making to get this in stock. In our case, Dianne is relentless in stalking all the big and small distributors to get any .22 ammo that may be available including less known makes and styles. This is where our history of large buying and early payments come into place and we get more than our share. We have several Bucket of Bullets and Auto match hopefully on the way. We are in good shape for match competition .22 ammo but the price puts it out of reach for most plinkers with 10/22's. Phil.
I have the day off work today, which worked out great as my 2 ammo cans of CCI were just delivered. I want to express my appreciation to several CGN members for their recent assistance in .22lr acquisitions:

Despite the current .22 shortage, with a little help from fellow CGN members, I am set for a while now.

Crap, I had today off, I forgot it was yours too. I just got down from blasting off a few at the shop, sighting in the Savage. The pillar bedding helped a little but not as much as I had hoped for, c'est la vie!
