The mosin I have has a great bore all shiny with good groves. It looks great except there is a bad scratch on the wood.
I was thinking on getting an archangel mosin stock and putting a scope on it and a witt muzzle break.
What other options do I have for this rifle and are the archangel mosin stocks any good for target shooting? I know they are plastic but it does look kinda cool, The only thing that looks a little funny is the long barrel sticking way out there. The m38 probably looks better in that sck but I ould think the 91/30 would be more accurate than a m38. But what do I know.

Your thoughts and suggestions are welcomed. By the way I have a 91/30, m38, m44 all stock with the original wood, so this other mosin with the scratched stock is begging for a makeover.

The random feeding issues with the AA mags has always put me off to the stock. Otherwise it looks good. Mine are all in wood though...

There's the Ati Monte Carlo stock, comes with butpad and a swivel stud for bipod, archangel or just refinish the wood stock to a different colour, like black or deep red or very blonde. your choice bud :)

Thanks for the info I didn't know of the random feeding problems, but I do like the idea of the 10 round mag. Is there a metal 10 round mag available out there for the wood stock mosin? I hve seen youtube video of a metal 10 round mag but never one for sale.

Most of the AA mags need filing and modification out of the box. Hical has a vid on how to address it. Something about baking them in the oven after (?).
Don't know of any another mag option out there.

I have a spare M38 that I've long considered putting in a AA stock because I agree, it looks MUCH better with the short barrel in that setup. But...I've resisted the urge in order to spare myself any aggravation.

Save the Mosin for spare parts

....or give it to a young person (with PAL) who is dying to get out shooting and hunting. They will remember both the rifle and yourself for the rest of their life.

I've been wanting to do this same build lately but don't want to wreck the one I have so am looking for a cheap one.
I think the AA stock looks good, I would also cut the barrel down and add a Timney trigger. And an EER scope... and now it's not cheap anymore...

PS if you decide to sell it let me know.

Trim it down to be a little lighter and more maneuverable?

I would just add some shellac or us a little alcohol to blend it in. IF i was in your shoes i would make a replica PU sniper if the bore is that good.
