Sig 1911, quite surprised at the top quality, VIDEO UP...

I have a 2014 stx and it is by far the best bang for the buck, it eats everything i put in it, over 2500 rnds and no failures. only thing i changed were the grips to vz operator 2's with the super scoop...now the gun is perfect!

Now I want my Sig Scorpion 1911 back. I traded it off on a whim for a S&W SC1911 which was a big mistake. Yes, Sig is a fine product that has never let me down. Sig Sauer for President! I am on the fence about getting an STI Trojan however just to compare. Yeah, the exchange rate is catching up with us so purchases must come sooner than later.

Congrats on the Sig Nightmare JP! Very nice. I see them come up used on the EE only a couple of times a year - which is a good sign!
I almost went for a 1911 SC S&W but a few negatives on the scandium frame pushed me away, then Trinimon suggested the Sig Nightmare bobtail... Just perfect. JP.

As opposite to you, i am liking a lot this platform to the point of getting a 1911 collection started ( 5 all ready), i might let go some HK and Sig and concentrate on the 1911... JP.

Do you have any Commander/Carry sized models (4.2" barrel) or just the 5"?

This Sig Nighgtmare round butt is my first 4.25 1911, i am looking at NH Talon ll Bobtail in 9mm and a Sig C3 45 ACP. both new as well, may pick up one of the two... JP.

I like my SIG 1911 Tac-Ops !

I had it in a trade and planned to sell it but I don't think I will find a better 1911 for what I *paid*.
Its a keeper !

I think once you get to that 1200-1500 price point you start to get some pretty nice 1911's. The 3-5K custom guns are beautiful but it starts to become a value question. I think it's like a lot of other products. That last little increase in quality often will often double or even triple a product's price. Labour is so expensive today compared to earlier times that once you get to any amount of hand fitting the sky's the limit.

Well said.. and of course trying to find good service & support in that equation is sometimes a challenge..

Having some very good dealers, will almost eliminate that variable...
The dealers i do business with, will gladly take care of any discrepencys, i might encounter, price is important but peace of mind is the winning key here... JP.

Would be interested in hearing more reviews or opinions on the Sig 1911's
Any one try the series 80 to 70 conversion shim in their Sig?
