Who has Acra Glass or Other Bedding Compounds

I'm sure one of the sponsors carries or can get it. I got some at cabelas not long ago (was kinda amusing cause the salesmen had NO idea what I was talking about). Think it was 25 or 30 bucks. Says it'll do 2 rifles.

I've always ordered it directly from Brownells.

They have a non flammable hardener version specifically for international orders.

A buddy of mine is complaining that Brownells won't ship it to him here anymore. Maybe he needs to inquire about the non-flammable version?
Anyone else get rejected by Brownells for Acraglas?

These guys are nearly half the price of Acklands h ttps://www.motionindustries.com/productCatalogSearch.jsp?q=devcon%20plastic%20stell%20putty%2010110&numItems=10 . I like the devcon plastic steel better than the Acraglass gel as it doesn't run as much but fits in the voids better. I've used JB weld as well but the devcon seems to be a bit harder when cured.

Give Epp's a call. Acraglas kits aren't something most retailers would put on their web site. Kind if like advertising screws.

Never knew JB Weld could be used to bed a rifle?

Are there any good tutorials on how to glass bed a rifle?

Thanks to all who responded, especially Mauser98. I just ordered some AcraGlas from Peter at Rusty Wood. I am very pleased and impressed with the level of service afforded from this site sponsor. I expect many others have had a similar experience. :)

If you're having trouble sourcing this from gun stores go to a boat and marine shop or otherwise somewhere that carries fibre glassing products, big box hardware stores even. Get some 2 part epoxy and a thickener or an epoxy product that mixes up thick like the bedding compounds do. They're all epoxies. The good ones anyway.

I've use JB Weld for a couple rifles. It works. I don't see any wear a few hundred rounds later. The drawback to JB Weld is that it's a bit runny to work with. Next set of stocks I'm going Devcon.
