Hello all, new to the site and eager to join the conversation. So anyway, I has just recently purchased a new in the box wingmaster 12 gauge from a family friend. The date code on the box indicates it was from 2012. As far as I could tell the gun had not been fired before I purchased it, it was in mint condition. Anyway I finally got to take it to the range for some five stand and a few rounds of skeet to break it in. Once I got home and stripped it to clean it I noticed the chrome was starting to peel off the bolt. It doesn't effect the shooting of the gun as it performs amazing. It just doesn't look too good if u look really close at the bolt.

I'm stuck on what to do. I don't really know much about the warranty if there even is one left on the gun. And the local gunshop in my area is not to welcome to new gun owners and the like.

Any help on what to do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Clean off any loose particles and keep on shooting it. It is only cosmetic and in my world not a big deal.

^^THIS^^ .... It's a used gun now, so just use it more. As long as it functions as it should, who cares?

You could always buy a pretty new one just for looking at. Enjoy your 870. It will serve you well. :)
