Restricted transfer wait times in BC

I haven't bought a restricted gun in quite a while now, anybody with a recent transfer to go through let me know how long it took! Private sale and dealer. Cheers!

Last sept my pistol transfer took three days from paying to taking it home, from a dealer by the way. Paid on a Wednesday, took it home on Friday.

Initiated Private Sale Fri 20th afternoon, approved Tuesday Morning, another Initiated a day earlier on Thursday 19th still waiting

Started a private sale on June 02 last year, received transfer approval letter dated Jan 5

Ordered from (BC lower mainland) dealer last Wednesday, transfer completed by CFP on Thursday, shipped from dealer on Friday, gun arrived in the mail on Monday.

I ordered a handgun from Wolverine and had to call the CFC because of a mix up with my address before they would send it for approval. I called them last Tuesday and the gun showed up in the mail today, so pretty quick right now for dealer transfers.

Dealer sale took 4 days. Private sale took three weeks ! I see no reason why the two should be any different. Both sellers are registered and been fully checked out, so the transfer time should be very close to the same ! IMO
