224 projectiles - any deal in Toronto area

Not many gun shops left in TO. Try Cabela's or Le Baron's though. Flaherty's maybe. Wouldn't expect any deals on varmint bullets this time of year though.

Al Flaherty's doesn't sell reloading stuff. I wish they did.

Le Baron's does. I bought my first kit there. They also sell powder, projectiles, etc. The only problem is that you can't check inventory levels before you get there. You sort of just need to show up and ask what they have.

We don't do reloading because nobody on staff reloads and we don't want to sell the wrong product. The only exception is if you can provide us with a Hornady part number for the item you want (email if it's a few items) and we can check their importer's online inventory. If they have it we order you some and have it in a week or so, assuming you put in a deposit. Because it's non-stock for us items ordered this way are final sale and that's why we insist on being given the specific Hornady SKU.

Hope this helps, even if only a little bit.

Le Baron rarely has any stock and I would call them before making the trek. (905) 944-0682.

I know for a fact that they have almost no 223 projectiles in stock at the moment.

If you want 223, we will have 55 GR FMJ's some time next week for 104.00 per thousand. They are pretty inexpensive to ship given their not the heaviest bullets. You can order on our web site. There are about 5-6 boxes unspoken for from our incoming order.

These are CamPro are they not? Can you drive these at normal 223 velocities? I thought CamPro/Frontier/Berrys etc were a heavy plating & for reduced velocity and to be loaded similar to cast boolits?

These are not plated. These are Full Metal Jacket (FMJ).

You are correct that their pistol bullets are plated.

The good part of this is that no-one expects them to have stock. I walked in one day at random and said, hopelessly, 'got any rifle powder?' and walked out with 3 pounds of Varget.

This is actually great to know. There's all kinds of stuff I'd love to get from Hornady but have a hard time finding online. Can you also order Redding stuff?

There's a great online retailer that has some good prices and excellent service, and a really decent supply. I ordered last Friday and got my shipment Tuesday. It rhymes with ex g-load

Just Hornady because the supplier who carries them is so organized it's almost impossible to order the wrong thing, and they have a live inventory so if we're checking product we know an exact volume and cost
