Hi ! Is there any value in a nice shape Arisaka type 99 or other model ? It's un-cut and in my opinion restorable.

Not worth it, to hard and to expensive to find a stock for it.

Info can only be generalized when you have no pictures or further information to provide. Things like a bent down bolt handle, cut barrel, bubba'd rear sight...etc all factor into whether or not the project is worth undertaking.

I, as others have probably, have seen Arisaka sporters of varying degrees, some restorable with some work, others too far gone.

the only thing that have been sporterized is the stock. The barrel is un-cult and the metal is in my opinion really good. That bore as well is good, it just has a little bit of frosting.

Is it a Type 38 or Type 99 ? Is the mum intact or ground off ?

if you can snap a photo of the numbers and marks on the left side we can at least figure out what it was.

How long is the barrel ?

I thing it's a type 99 but I'm note 100% since I don't have the rifle in my possesion. The mum is grind off I think if you refer to the top of the receiver.
