Doing a C7A2 Build but need part sources

First of all the Tri-ad is not exclusively CF kit. Any that COME from CF inventory is CF kit. Tri-ads are sold to Law Enforcement as well, both national and local.

Here for example is a fine member of the Barrie Police playing with their toys with Tri-ads:

Please, please, PLEASE Matt, just find a box of these bloody things collecting dust in a parts bin and sell them through a dealer, it will put an end to all this crap on the various forums (Army.ca, here, pick-any-airsoft-forum). Then they can go back to accusing people of wearing stolen CADPAT or other things that keep them up at night.

Now to get back on topic:

If you want the correct scope with a nearly perfect matching green cover, contact any Elcan dealer and ask them to special order the Specter OS3.4x with "Armalite Green" cover.

(no its not cheap but it is cheaper than the SpecterDR 1-4x).

For the Norgon Ambi, just order from any Rock River Arms dealer in Canada, Questar for example and is a sponsor here. RRA just packages the Norgon unit and re-sells it. Yes supposedly the Diemaco one has the stylized D hidden somewhere on it but if you get one of those the 'Raging Keyboard JAGs' will accuse you of theft and a million other transgressions that will cause the earth to implode, bombard your supplier and de-rail your thread... just buy the original and ignore them.

Thank you for injecting this thread with actual helpful information and not just being an internet legal know it all.

The "ITS ILLEGAL!" crowd reminds me of antis who see a scary black rifle and start screaming "ASSAULT RIFLE 30 CALIBER CLIP GHOST GUN"!

Not too mention once again my time in the CF has given me the keen sense to determine when someones opinion is based on actual QR&O's/CANFORGENS/JAG decisions and not the most commonly encountered "NO!" simply because they are too lazy to find the actual answer or don't want to do any extra work. As the saying goes "Make up rules and enforce them"

Let's see it all together on the rifle!

Lol, here is a teaser with crappy cell phone pics (saving any good ones for Matt's next contest, being the guy that has been wearing a Colt hat and patch for the past couple of years in Service CQB I need a toque for the chilly days lol).

Vs. my issued rifle:

Note that both pics are taken with iPhones and horrible flashes so don't take the colours totally for granted. The true test will be out on a sunny day at the range comparing it right next to C7A2 but the match is more than close enough for me, I'm happy.

Well I'll be happy when I can buy the remaining parts "officially" or surplus but with paperwork to backup the fact that it is "officially surplus" so I don't have to deal the headaches/buddy 'bladers. Still need:

- Proper rear sling mount (or the OEM version that they may have licensed).
- The evil annoying "sir snags alot" charging handle. However since I won't be slinging it in front of a tacvest for hours on end at a VCP or maneuvering around an SMP vehicle, the extra width etc might actually be nice for competition/range use.
- Tri-ad sold direct by a Colt Dealer or surplus from a Police Department WITH paperwork to back it up.

May even one day a special edition Diemaco marked CAN2000/2005 Bayonet made by Eickhorn-Solingen for a collectors item.... hmmm ;-)

Why wait. You can purchase a bayonet direct from our friends in Germany. Complete with the correct sheath. Everything is identical to the issue one, including the grip colour. Marked B 2005 CAN but missing the etched Maple Leaf made by Eickhorn-Solingen. The frog is a german version though, not like the issue frog. I picked one up for my SA15.7, goes great with all the green furniture and elcan cover.

Only way your going to get one that isn't borrowed borrowed.

Why do you have a newly produced Colt Canada lower and they laser etched A2 on it? It was made in 2010. The C7A2 Upgrade program started in 2003.

Looks awesome man.
I thought I remember Matt saying that they might release the triad rail, or was that quashed?

Does this optic have the same post type reticule as the C79?

There are legal triads out there I have two from a local police service that received them on their colts and replaced them with quad rails. Because everybody knows that they are crap except for making a C7 clone. I got them off the service as surplus to their needs.

Contact info?

You can just get the green cover, just call Ted. The green is fairly close to the issued cover, it's off by about one shade of green. If that makes any sense.
