Winchester 94 stocks (post 64) ??

Hello

I have two stocks that are post 64 era.
One fits my 1974 Model 94 and the second one will not go completely on
The inletting is different.
Were there mid model changes made to the hammer spring/action after 1964?
And if so what years did they take place?

One on right looks Pre. Look at the face where it meets receiver.

Post .64 stocks may be altered as needed. The modifications are internal.

The one on the right allows for the hammer spring that is a coil spring. If the faces are both the same then turiaq is correct, if the faces are slightly different then the one on the left is pre.

Yes both are post, but in the very center of the inlet is the difference, the one on the right is a newer post 64. It will fit all post 64's.
