Ross?
Styer M-95?
K-31?

If I missed one due tell.

I like the Ross the best, Better pull handle and shoots better and its made in Canada.
K-31 has a goofy pull back handle, and the Styer M-95 just doesn't feel right.

I've only ever handled a Steyr-Mannlicher, and I rather liked the feel of it. Never shot it though- ammo was impossible to find at the time.

I would like both a Ross and a K31 for the collection.

I have no experience with the others, but i do have a k31 and love it! the action is smooth, its as accurate as i can shoot it, i think they are very good looking rifles, and i think its cool that behind the butt plate there is a tag with the address and name of the swiss soldier that carrier it through its service life.

Also mine throws the brass straight up and back on ejection, iv shot it enough now that i can more often than not catch my spent brass in my hood! its pretty fun.

I have both the Steyr and the K31 in my collection and hope to get a Ross someday. IMO the K31 is by far the nicer to shoot than the Steyr. I have tons of old pre WW2 8x56R ammo on strippers that make the Steyr accurate but the carbine kicks like a mule compared to the K31. I use a slip on recoil pad when Im shooting the Steyr.

Ross MkIII. The MkI is a resllyneat piece of history, but it is a total POS. Ha ha. The MKII isn't much better, but the MkIII is a whole lot better animal. Its really a shame we never wound up with a 26" barreled version and a steady supply of good clean ammo. That may have been a real winner.

.
1905 Ross Mark II, two Star target rifle ---for the last 50 years. Also, a 1910 Ross Mark III that has had the forestock modified that shoots cast bullets like a laser under 300 yards. Follow that with a couple of 1905 Ross Factory Sporters, and ending up with two insanely accurate K-31 Swiss rifles. It is a difficult choice to go to the range now.

All of them have their perks and that's a fact. Owned and shot all of the standards, probably give a slight edge to the Ross and K31 over the M95 just because I've had issues with M95 bolts, but I still find M95's darn handy guns - can't beat them for compact firepower in their carbines! (or kick!)

I dearly love both rosses and K31's. They really end up on par with each other due to some pros and cons to both, both in design and current use, neither will do you wrong :d

Could not have put it better myself. The K-31 looks like they used recycled clown noses for the handle, lol.
