Doing a C7A2 Build but need part sources

Your guess is as good as mine... The A2 marking is not lined up with the C7 text either almost looks "stamped".

They are stamped after anodizing, that's why you can see bare metal. The A2 was an upgrade program and all old lowers had the A2 stamped beside the C7, hence why the A2 is off centre. It looks like the original roll stamp still hasn't been changed for some reason, that's why only the C7 is centered. Why they'd stamp it after anodizing is beyond me. Original rifles never had the lowers re-anodized so the bare metal was left visible.

Does this help...n the raw, no A2 on it yet, photo taken at Colt Canada. Is the A2 laser etched?

WOW guys, great info on all the parts. I've been going nuts trying to find the proper CAR style buttstock and recoil pad in od. Anyone have any sources? Sucks that the #######s out there ruin it for all of us wanting to pay homage to a great rifle.

Not that I'm a Francophone or anything, but did Matt ever mention why the Made In Canada bit wasn't bilingual on the SA15.7/20 as it is on the C7/8? Was it a requirement from Colt USA to have it stamped the way it is?

I was just wondering because CC went to the trouble of making the front site bilingual, so why did they change the made in Canada stamping? Not gonna lie, I really didn't want to learn French in school, so having it in all English is fine for me, I was just curious is all.

I'm going to regret this because posting this here will probably lead to these things getting sold out fast, and since I can't afford one right now, I'm going to be kicking myself for spreading the news about it, but here it goes:

http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/1209134-Elcan-C79A2-3-4x-Combat-Optical-Scope

So, refurbed C79s with armalite green covers for $1,150..and if your LE/MIL, there's an IOP on top of that price.

Damn you guys that can afford this right now and buy them up, lol! I want to cry.

Guys, please read the detailed description of the scopes on our website. These are refurb's direct from Armament Technology.
The GEN IV base and Cover are new, the tubes are not. Looking at them, I cant really see the difference, crystal clear to me.

Regardless, they are a deal no matter how you slice it.

Cheers

Sorry, will correct my posts.

No problem. I just don't want to advertised them as new. The tube is refurbished by Armament Technology so in essence they are as new I guess.
I have closely inspected 4 or 5 of them and they are all perfect.
-They have a new base installed (the latest Gen IV base, no engraving)
-The cover is new.
-The illumination source has been removed. (Not that us civies really need it anyhow)
-You would need a DND armourer to know the difference between this and an issue one.
-3 year warranty direct from Armament Technology

Any questions, don't hesitate to contact us.
