I am looking to pick myself up a Mosin Nagant 91/30 and ammo and I am wondering where the best deal is. I live in SW Ontario, so that might affect SH.

I guess really that's what I'm asking; who has the best shipping to the London area?

These are the three deals I am looking at, all generally similar, which do you guys think I should go for? What I am looking for is a decent shooter I can mess with and some more ammo to share with my SVT.

http://www.tradeexcanada.com/content/mosin-nagant-m9130-rifle-and-880rd-case-762x54r-ammunition-combo-special-free-shipping-offer (in stock ATM and free SH, also: I have worked with these guys before and was happy with my SVT from them)

https://www.canadaammo.com/product/detail/mosin-nagant-rifle-and-crate-of-norinco-7-62x54r-combo/ (sold out too, but I get more ammo and free SH)

Are there any other similar deals out there I should be aware of? I don't mind waiting for a bit for a deal to come back in stock.

Thanks for your time and patience.

I would keep a eye out on the EE. They can be had for $125-$150 (plus shipping), no store will beat that.
Don't think you'll be getting a VG or better one for that price.Likely a darkish bore electro-penciled rode hard and put away wet specimen.Doesn't hurt to look though.

You would be surprised . He said he wants a shooter, and those comes in all different conditions.
This is a nice example of what $150 (plus shipping) can get you if you watch the EE. older import, great bore, non-repordcution sling, bayonet. This one came from a collector on here who prices fairly.

We found a couple ex-snipers in the crates we went through. One a 42 Tula PEM which I'm keeping.Shoots under an inch at 100 yards with irons and PRC ball.It costs about $35-$38 to mail a 91/30 as we had over 80 handpicked at one time. The 43 Ishies are the roughest finish but shoot great too.

If you are near London why not check out http://www.bullseyelondon.com/russian-mosin-nagant-91-30-7-62x54r-military-surplus.html and save on the shipping cost (if you don't go with Canada Ammo's free shipping)? Bulls Eye would appear to have both ammo and Mosin's in stock. Might be worth the drive.

Been to bullseye; like em, good people, fair prices, but not in the same league as tradex in terms of offering a deal. After taxes, I'd be paying almost as much for a rifle and half a case of ammo for them as I would for a rifle and full case from tradex. They do have the huge advantage of being able to pick out my own though. I'll check em out next time I am in that neck of the woods.

Obviously I'd like one that shoots better than one that shoots worse, but getting a deal with a bunch of ammo just makes sense and I am willing to wait for it too. One of the advantages of asking on here is that I only know a few sites to check with; whereas here I may learn of others.

I don't care about where it was made or when, just that it be in decent shape, have a bayonet and shoot well. A secondary consideration is that I'd like to put an optic on it. Unlike my other milsurps, I was not in love with the iron sights on the mosins I fired and so the silly prices on the repro sniper (50-250% more than the rifle) mounts just don't measure up it seems to replacing the rear iron sight with a scope mount and normally I don't like that.

I wonder why west rifle hasn't started piping up yet?seeing as how every mosin in northern America has come through them?heavy sarcasm
