H4350 in a 300 win

Wondering if any one has used this powder for 180 gr or 200gr bullets and if it shoots or should I try a different powder. Would like to stick with the Hodgson extreme powders. Thanks in advance
 
Nothing really extreme about H4350. Marketing types love their buzz words. Work up a load. Your rifle will either like it or it won't.
 
I haven't loaded for the 300 WM, but I have for other calibres. I use IMR4350 in my Swedes. H4895, BLC-2 and Varget in my 308's. I have read good things about H1000, H4831 and H4831sc (short cut). Adding to what sunray said, you will have to try different combos to see what powder, bullet combo hold most promise. Then you'll have your load to fine tune.
 
I use 70 grs IMR4350 with 180 gr Nosler PP in my .300 WM. and my hunting partner's as well. Between us, we've killed 30 or more moose with most DRT.
I know it's below max but this load shoots MOA in both our rifles, and the moose didn't feel the difference!
When it gets milder, I want to try the H4350 and compare the results

Hodgdon extreme powders are so named because they have a stable burn rate over a wide temperature range - work up a load in winter, shoot it in summer.
 
Thanks for the replies. I realize I have to work up the load, just asking if anyone uses it for the 180 and 200 gr bullets or if I should try a different powder that may be better suited for that weight of bullets.
 
I use it in a .300H&H (150 and 180gr TSX's, 180gr Hornady SP's). Excellent results in both velocity and accuracy.
