I have a ruger mk 2 and a burris signature series. How do you get the 2 to go together and centered? My burris doesn't have enough adjustments and the ruger has no adjustments.

Something must be out of alignment.

Do you have a laser level so you can check if the scope is centered/straight on the barrel?

Can you adjust the scope so it is centered vertically or horizontally? Or can't get anything close, period?

cant even get close. I wonder if the scope could be out? Where does a guy send the thing back too? I had it on a sako and i needed rings with windage adjustments just to get the thing to line up.

Well it would seem likely that your scope is out if it does the same thing on two different guns. I was initially wondering if your scope rings were sitting on two different planes but......

Have you checked to see if the adjustment dials are somewhat equally centered? Perhaps they have been cranked to there limit in one direction. Or you may also have a defective scope.

^^ this is where I would start.
Crank a dial as far as it will go in one direction, now crank it as far as it will go in the other direction, counting the turns from full stop to full stop. Lets say it goes 10 full turns stop to stop. Now, crank it to the calculated middle position. So back 5 turns.

repeat with the other dial.

Now try lining it up from here.

^^ Thats how I always check the scope, especially on a used scope Ive picked up. Most times they are way off near the end of their travel on either the windage or elevation.
Also bore sighting the scope and getting it as close to point of impact by playing around with the scope mount and rings first, then adjust the dials last.

I have been dicking around with the rings and scope for a while. I think the scope needs some warranty work. It seems just too far out of wack.

I have the right ruger rings. the problem is that the gun with the scope like it is, is out of adjustments and still shoots way to the right. I have been looking at the burris rings but what a pia. You would think Burris would have a real fix for this. Does this look viable? h ttp://www.midwayusa.com/product/170749/burris-ruger-to-weaver-scope-base-adapter-for-laser-rangefinding-scope-ruger-77-matte?cm_vc=ProductFinding
