Got this beauty today after being shipped yesterday! I have to thank clay from prophet for helping acquire these. I've had the USMC roll marked one for a bit and the the M45A1 showed up today

Thanks, it ain't all of them just a few I thought I'd share. I just love these new marine colts, I guess they have had some frame cracking issues after high round count but these will never see 20'000 rounds in my hands. Twisted I wish I had some with the weird cylinder thing on them but I sell them every time I get one to go buy another auto..........

See, and I always thought that the 3 hole triggers looked cheesy. I always preferred the solid trigger on my 1911's...

Well its tan tan tan, BAM big ugly black trigger. I love 1911's but that trigger is ..

At first the colour put me off, but after comparing a few fde pistols sxs,(sig, Fnx, hk, arsenal) I really like the lightness of it. And the trigger to me is a great fit, first it's such a nice clean break, no grittiness and with 4.5 pounds pull its feels great. The solid trigger is also a nice throw back to the original. The black also accents the sights and IMO would look funny if it was tan tan tan

I'm surprised that you can't get M45A1s in black (yet), although the Rail Gun is available in a bunch of different versions.

I just picked one up, it's the 01070CQB model and I have to say I am totally impressed with the fit and finish. I haven't fired mine and don't know if I will but the slide to frame fit is excellent, the trigger is cleaner and crisper than the nighthawks, baer and valtro that I've owned, only a smidge heavier. Based on this gun I feel like Colt can compete with the semi customs out there in the same price range.

I will concur on the trigger! The recent one I picked up is the 1070cqb custom shop gun. I cant remember about the usmc marked one but it very well could be a production run 1070M45 I'll have to go look, and here's hoping I got lucky with two CS guns
