Does anyone know where to get something that is either a fake suppressor or looks like one?

Obviously for the 'cool' factor.

I don't know about who has these, if there are threading concerns, or anything else.

I have a DA 556 (nork).
I'd like my rifle to look like it has a suppressor on the end. Because reasons.

What have you got? Post some pics and take me to school

Hey, I got a crappy tube meant for paintball guns off ebay. It has a few set screws in it for it to sit properly, and I also had one made my MFI, designed for my Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22. It also had set screws in it but was quite expensive. The paintball tube was like 10 bucks but the MFI fake suppressor was around $100.

Here's a shot, middle is the tube wrapped in paracord, and on the right is the tube just by itself. i don't have a photo of the MFI but it is stamped saying it's for 5.56 bla bla bla. (it is super heavy though)

Where did you get those?

Since this is already yielding good results, where are good places to grab one? This is not my area so I'm learning slowly.

The MFI came from their website direct I believe (it was many years ago), the paintball one came from ebay. Can't remember the exact name but i'm sure if you search fake suppressor or something it will yield similar results.

I may not want the MFI anymore so if you have interest in that I could probably sell.

Spikes tactical I believe makes threaded fake suppressors. The reason I use these fakey's is because I want to make the barrel appear shorter than it actually is, utilizing these fakey's as barrel shrouds

I sent you a PM.

Does anyone else want to show off their guns?

Nice job brother! They look awesome

bumping for interest, and the guy in pistols forum who i told about this thread when he asked about this topic.

C'mon people. drag out your cameras and show off your toys.

I built one for my sks, only takes about an hour if you can find someone with a lathe. Built an adjustable gas block with the front sight mounted in it at the same time. The fake can slips over the barrel, it's threaded on the front and is a tight bushing fit on the rear (wanted to see if it helped barrel harmonics) the slip over style really improve the looks of any long barrel semi.

If someone is shooting their AR at the range and you aren't bleeding at the ears it is real, Apart from that still makes enough noise no to go un-noticed.

The lack of suppressors in Canada is one of the worst aspects of our laws. Even worse than mag limits.

But it's also probably one of the things that would be most difficult to change thanks to Hollywood.

It should be easier than mag limits to change just for the health and safety aspects due to hearing damage.

Completely agree. Just think it'd be a hard sell considering what the soccer moms would think if they were to hear about it.

I'm continually amazed at how expensive the real ones are though. I'm sure my wallet is glad they're illegal

So....I'm not up on the differences...what makes a fake can? Is it literally a large diameter cylinder, or ........anyone have a graphic that compares a real one from a lel " fake"
