the texture is slightly smoother and when racking the slide it defiantly feels " slippery "
It was assembled without a drop of oil. Time will tell if the durability is there , but from all I have read about it - it should last far beyond what little use I do now a days

no I didn't get Frank to do it . I sent it off to a company in Dawson creek
