value of model 71 Browning?

I was suffering from seller's remorse on that one before I even mailed it, Terry...send it back, and I'll apply that cash towards the double! :)

If that double of yours was a 9.3 x 74R I'd be tempted to try and work something out with you. As it is, I have plans this fall for your .348. If you want to hunt with it again, you are going to have find a Winchester carbine with sling and bolt peep to trade. Just about anything in my safe is up for grabs if I can add a fully loaded Winchester carbine deluxe to my collection.
The chances of me finding one for sale up here are slim to none. If I ever want to fulfill that wish, I may just have to bite the bullet and go south of the border to find one.

Ummmmmm...it is a 9.3x74R. I just checked my ad to make sure I hadn't screwed it up, but no, that's what it is and that's what the ad says. :)

You probably looked for the original 71 with bolt peep for years without luck. Now that you have the Browning, you will see three of those originals at the next gun show...it's inevitable.

Okay, that is it. Proof positive that I have gone right round the bend. I was positive that your double was the 30 06 that caught my eye. I may have to cut back on my CGN time and try to get some of my sanity back..... nah, that wouldn't be any fun. Look out Kamlooky, here I come :p

If Murphy's law dictates that I will now come across multitudes of Winchester carbine deluxes, fully loaded with factory bolt peep, swivels and sling, I will give Murphy a big wet kiss. Buying your Browning is not going to slow me down from buying a carbine deluxe if I ever find one.
