Please my ignorance, but what is the difference?

Boxer is 1 hole in middle easy for reloading. Berdan is two holes off center which while reload able is just a bit more time consuming. Also the primers are different as the boxer primers have the whole firing mechanism in the primer and the berdan primers utilize the anvil that's on the case itself.

Easier to reload, before firing. (swapping out steel core, for lead)

steel cases are reloadable - just search this topic on youtube -you should be able to find a number of videos. Just make sure you clean the cases soon after they are fired or they will rust. And most likely they won't last as long as brass.
Berdan is corrosive.

Not always. Canada Ammo's website specifies this ammo as non-corrosive.

Not all berdan primers are corrosive, just the ones that use corrosive priming compound.
Lots of examples of non-corrosive berdan primed ammo these days - A lot of new production Norinco, LCW, Swiss GP11, etc
