I have a nice one of these, Serial#877###. Not sure why I have it. (I have 2 others ) Can anyone tell me what series this is F? R? It's not an EG cause i have one of those with the delicate scnabel fore end. Was thinking of selling it ,Iassume it's in the $700 range as I paid that much for it 4-5yrs ago. Any info would be appreciated. The sun is setting so I can't do pictures for now. It's NRA VG+, no serious defects, original, blue is fading all over, not worn grey though, even receiver bottom. Selling it because, God forbid, even I think I have too many of these precious toys.

Well I'm not feeling absolutely enamoured in telling you this, but the value of these
things have fallen by the way side.
The Tacki=fewl chit has taken over along with the plasticka stocks and such.
Soooo, to relieve yewzse awff any agony, I'll submint a peace barginaging awffer of five brown
wons fer yer Savage.
I'm almost sirtan t'others wooddent offer ya neer as much.

Make'r qwick as you kno I can't dew this all day...............

Get some photos up and maybe that crazy hound will give you an idea as to what
it's worth.

The 99R model is a lot more scarce than a 99EG or 99F. And the .250/3000 seems to be the most coveted chambering in the 99. Even with the thinner finish I don't think you will have any trouble getting your money back, might even make a few bucks. My 2 cents.

So I got a question.
I have a savage 99 take down in 22 savage with several boxes of old ammo barrel is marked 22 HP
Got it left to me in an estate. Have a savage 99 non take down model in 300 savage too , pile of dominion to go with it too.
Would love to figure out some values?

Post some decent pics and you will get some input. Pretty hard to make a sensible estimate without them.

Ya, I'm in the process of doing some pics.
maybe I'll post em up this evening.
From what I've been seeing, the takedown 22HP is a rare one (gunbroker)
