Colts had a gold badge logo in the Center of the wood grips if I recall, if this is some sort of old police .38 I would bet it is NOT Colt.

Where's the cylinder latch release? I don't know of any modern gun where the ejector rod acts as the only locking mechanism.

OP...Is this a game or are you trying to get some help in identifying this gun? If it is the latter what is the context? Where and in what circumstances did you see this or where is the photo from?

This. This is artwork from a videogame. It looks like bump-mapping all over the table and side of the pistol frame near the grips. Aside from the fact you can tell it's a photo of a monitor, the proportions are all wrong to be a production gun.
