Savage ML ll (Thoughts?)

Just picked up a Savage ML ll , was going to try my hand ar shooting smokeless powder. I have read the load specs from Savage but was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this gun.

Do yourself a favor and buy all you can find. It has been discontinued.

I've owned a number of these over the years...they are great guns, very accurate and easy to keep clean. You will really like it.

These are awesome guns. Don't believe the things you hear about these being unsafe. Only muzzleloader proofed to 120000psi. No other muzzleloader is anywhere close to as strong. Just don't double load it. Make sure sabots are tight or misfires can happen with slower powders. Had best luck with imr4759 which isn't made anymore but aa5744 should be close. I would never use a regular muzzleloader again. Dirty, slow, can't see impact for smoke. Can't say enough good things about it. Dougs message board is the best source of info.
