you could just adapt to the rifle rather then adapting the rifle to you for quick reloads tilt the gun on its side(charging handle facing the ground) remove empty mag put in fresh mag and charge operate it with a non western mindset

While I agree with you, I really want to modify my gun with a left side charging handle too.

I don't mind the right side charging handle I just really WANT a left side charging handle. I feel, maybe unjustifiably, that I will be able to run the gun faster, smoother, more ergonomically, etc with a left side charging handle.

Part of the fun of owning guns is personalizing them.
