2" mortar identification

Picked this mortar tube up yesterday at a price I could not pass up on. The barrel is 2" diameter, and when put against my typical British 2", very similar in tube construction, although a little shorter and slightly beefier. The trigger mechanism/cup is not the same, although the base pin would seem to be. I believe the writing on it to be Isreali, and there are a couple of the star impressions as well. My google searches could not find anything on it. Any mortar experts out there that can give me some ID on it? Seems like the Isreali's thirst for equipment often has them rebuilding other countries equipment and marking them as their own, or making almost identical copies.

37 patt: Thanks for the link. Hard to say exactly if that's the one or not. The trigger wheel looks somewhat like it. I'll have to pull the barrel from the base and see if it happens to be the same thread as the Brit 2". The stars of David would lend to Isreali ownership, but then again I have seen the same markings on British sten mags too, so it doesn't entirely belong to the Izzys.
 
The writing on it looks like Hebrew to me, so it's entirely possible that it was a captured item taken into the Israeli military. I suspect it's somewhere from the late 1940's or early 1950's and during the first couple of wars Israel wasn't picky on what weapons they used.

nope some stuff is under the controlled goods act and needs some paperwork but any artillery made before 1946 is good to go at this point there was a panzerschreck for sale somewhere not long ago just can't remember where i seen it
