I've used the same tube of Motomaster wheel bearing grease for about four years now. Mainly on my Browning XS skeet gun. I'm sure it will be fine on my 1911 when I buy one later this spring. I'm out of oil at the moment and will be using some sort of synthetic motor oil this time around. What is everyone who uses motor oil using to dispense the oil from the big can?

I have a small squirt bottle that I filled with the oil, another good method is to use a syringe from medical use. they work quite well.

I was thinking about trying a lock de icer bottle, the one with the flip up top.

I do. As a previous poster wrote "grease for parts that slide, oil for parts that rotate/pivot". And yeah, big tub of synthetic wheel bearing grease and a hobby brush.

I use medication syringes for my grease. Don't know why it didn't occur to me to use them for oil. DUH!
