I sold everything I had. Ammo, accessories, and my pistol collection. My circumstances and inordinate concern with more and better guns convicted me to do it. Tired of always coveting nicer pistols when they are nothing more than paper weights in Canada. it's a weight off my shoulders to be out of the restricted game. No more needless red tape. I'm off the reatricted grid. It feels good. It's been tough but I'm adapting to contentment with a shot gun and a rifle. My wife is happy about it too.

Edited post: for all you trolls who are acting like religious bigots towards a fellow gunnut who differs from your particular position on things, this is what I am proudly keeping and the optic came from the proceeds of my virtually unused restricteds sale:

Get a non restricted Tavor!

Having restricted guns in Canada is a major pain the arse. I never understood why we can't shoot handguns in the woods like I did as a kid.

To each his own, not sure why you posted the fact. Do you like wet brown #### storms? Sorta like claiming to be Rich and Jewish on the Storm Front site.

Sad story.

I have one! The money from the sale of all my pistols is putting an Elcan spectre DR on it. Better than paper weights in my opinion. Plus I save 400 bucks a year on range pass.

If pistols go NR I will take out a loan to buy the best pistol in the world. Until then I will have money in my pocket again. It's been years since I've had money in my pocket that wasn't being saved up for a better pistol.

I'm not a liberal. The main reason I let go of restricteds is the covetousness of my heart. I did not like what I saw in myself and it seemed irrational to have my heart occupied with restricted guns that are money pits and not worth the investment IN MY CIRCUMSTANCES. not everyone is where I'm at and I wouldn't expect that. My NR guns are used for road trips with friends and days of shooting fun and fellowship. That's worth every penny. Can't do that in a booth at a range at significant cost and inconvenience.

The government won.

I know the pain of just having the damn guns. Feels like pulling teeth just trying to get 'em to the gunsmith or to the range. Crown Land shooting is so much more fun.
But we should all unscrew these laws.

Even if I didn't like shooting/owning handguns (which I do to my bank accounts' regret) I would own them out of spite.
