A little safety reminder :)

White is the colour of "no-shoots" so.... I don't see what's the big deal here. 'Guy wasn't gonna get shot.... He looked like a "no-shoot"

Should be true, except my bullets seems attracted to white... I never aim for no-shoots but there is always 1 or 2 that sneaks in front of my fun pills.
Nothing to do with my skills, NS have a life of their own...

I keep saying brass is the devil of our sport. For it, I witnessed the worse side of some peoples during and after matches.

An interesting and educating video for ROs. By the result, it appears Bob Bales did an unacceptable job at clearing the range. Whatever he did, he did not expect a dissipated or brass hungry shooter willing to test Darwin's law during a COF...

A freak incident that should have never happened. By amazing luck, (and thank you for our sport) there was no dramatic consequences.

Ive seen this kinda dangerous , and careless activity at some of the 3 gun matches I attended. It Made me go out and get body armour. Then gave it a second thought and left the sport. This video is not a surprise, and this is happening way to much across Canada. Until they get some PROPERLY TRAINED people,...its gonna continue to happen and worse !

Having never attended a 3gun match in Saskatchewan, I'll take your word for it.
Having attended many matches in other parts of the country and all over the US, I have never seen this happen or felt the need to wear body armour.

Begs the question, what's going on in Sask??

I've only attended the ones in Ontario and safety was always #1 priority. Never had a whisky tango foxtrot reaction here.

Lack of trained personal and no qualified RO. and not following sound advice from older experienced shooters.

Saw this on TFB. Some serious failure on the RSO's part.

I'm amazed that no one was shouting "CEASE FIRE" way earlier in the video. Camera guy? Dude Down Range? Anyone? It's pretty nuts that the shooter is the guy who noticed.

Most surprise to hear that and it is quite contrary to my experience at 3Gunning and IPSC.

The "worse" I experienced was once (handgun IPSC) when I heard "Range is going hot" followed by a storms of "whoa", "wait", "stop", etc.. Everybody got super cautious afterward.

Wow, not sure what is going on in your neck of the woods, but safety is paramount around here. Accidents will happen, of course, but our action shooting is extremely safe.

Really? Care to list the matches you've shot "across Canada" where you've witnessed this sort of thing currently?
A sweeping statement like yours sounds more like a disgruntled former participant than a factual account of the the safety standards of 3gun across Canada.

Take a moment and go on U-tube. You will see lots of fail. Then read the past threads , on this forum and others. The video's are sweeping, as- is all the info out there.
Disgruntled...??? no, more like worried about safety.

Got any links to these videos from across Canada?

please.......I'm sure you know by now how to "u-tube" LOL.

Yeah, that's not the problem. The problem is actually finding all these alleged videos from across Canada. Surely you can put up a link or two to these vids just as easily as you can type a reply. ;)

Yes, someone could have been seriously hurt here. The thing is, we mostly all drive hurtling missiles down the highway every day....there is no RO checking the roads in front of us for deer, pedestrians, kids on bikes. The right things happened....the shooter noticed a problem (remember that rule, know your backstop and what is beyond)...he stopped shooting. No one got hurt. The RO learned a valuable lesson, as did the rest who have now seen the video.

IMHO, some of this problem lies with the guy self absorbed in picking brass....you are at a fricken gun range, know your surroundings. I mean he didn't notice no one else was around and maybe clear the range!
