Any SKS experts that can help me figure out my SKS year?

I have one of the completely unstamped receiver. The pretfix is a Z followed by F I believe.... the serial reads " 3 1-0 * * * * " , * being the 4 numbers.

This being said it comes with the First series of bolt with the springs but it is a refurbed black one. Barrel looks chrome lined, Pretty silver inside from what I can see. Not sure if its a later then 56 or just a frankenstine sks.

The receiver, dust cover and laminate stock # matches and look stamped..... the bolt, carrier, ext are electro pencilled

The rear right looks like its parkerized, grey rather then black as usual.

Sounds Frankenstein if it's a spring'd firing pin with a chrome lined bore.

That's what i was thinking, The gun looks awesome but the refurbished old school spring bolt had the me wondering what was up with it. The bolt also is more silver then chrome.

Sounds like a late refurb. An early 50 that was refurbed with later parts. Receiver cover from a 56 used. Anything goes on a refurbished SKS. It can be period correct parts or a mixmaster depending on when it was refurbished and parts that were available when refurbished. Regardles of the parts, it will still go bang every time you pull the trigger. Shoot it and enjoy.

I was thinking something like that, Almost everything on the SKS seems swapped out or like new. Condition wise it looks immaculate so I thought heavy refurbishing on a early model or a very, very late year...
