Maverik’s Multigun will be having a match on April 18th at AFGC.

As usual, new and more experienced shooters are both welcomed and encouraged to come out and shoot.

This match, we will be trying something a little different. There will be 4 small-medium stages with a shoot off once all squads have completed the 4 stages. As for round count, 100 rounds for each firearm will be plenty for the 4 stages. However, bring extra for the shoot off, especially if you plan on making it to the end!

The shoot off will only be open to those that have shot the whole match and a donation of 1 box of FACTORY .223 will be required (to be split up for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes).

We will be holding the shooters meeting at 9:45 am and start shooting shortly after 10:00 am. The match fee is $45.

Setup for up for the match on Friday, April 17th at 4pm. Please come out and lend a hand for setup.

A few reminders for match day.
Do not uncase firearms prior to 10:00 am
Firearms are to be uncased in safety areas only

No steel cored, cased, jacketed ammo period! If it sticks to my magnet, you aren’t shooting it.

complete rookie, so bear with me. This will be a 3 gun match like we see on youtube etc?

how will it progress?

can I use my Mossberg 500 with its 28" barell? I have the other guns, just no short shotgun.

I have done IDPA, and I have always wanted to do this.

oh and if not a member of Abbotsford Fish and Game is there a fee on top?

Yes it is like the 3gun you see on YouTube......as far as the stages go!

Shooter wise, well I'll let you find out for yourself. :)

Your mossberg 500 will be fine and it is just the $45 match fee and a box of factory .223 for the shoot off.

Come out and run what you have. I'm sure there will be other newer 3gun shooters there also.

You will need a means of holding extra ammo on your person for each firearm per stage. Whether that's actual mag pouches, shell caddies or simply pockets and dump pouches is up to you. I would suggest making due with what you have, come out, give it a try and decide from there if you want to spend money on gear.

Absolutely no steel ammo though. Again, if it sticks to my magnet, you won't be shooting it!

As for clothing, a hat is good for whether it's raining or sunny. Other than that, dress weather appropriate.

These will be smaller than usual stages so tons of magazines won't be necessary. Enough to hold 20rounds should be good unless you like to miss a lot, then more is always better.

Spectators are welcome. They may however be asked to stand just outside the range as it may get full of shooters and gear inside. They will still be able to see the action from there though. They also must bring their own eye and ear protection.

ok, looking forward to it, in a big way.

AR-15, Ruger SR9 and Mossy 500. Lots of mags, lots of ammo, lets get it on!!

anywhere I can find some drills to get the rust off?

oh and yea, I ONLY have 10round pistol mags for my AR. I have zero 5 rounders.

The COF for this match is short and simple as I am trying to allow enough time to get the shoot off going.
They will be more or less like 3gn classifiers.

YouTube has lots of vids on drills and practices on there. Basically just know your holds on your firearms and you should be good for this match.

Match is filling up. Get your reg and fees in before it's too late.

Those of you that don't make it in will be put on a wait list.

Make sure to send in your match fee once you have sent in your reg. If the match fee isn't received by April 11th at midnight, you will forfeit your spot and the next person on the wait list will get the opportunity to shoot.
