Has anyone drilled and tapped a lakefield MK II for a second action screw? Can you tell me what pitch you went to and where you found a standoff or fasteners to do this?
In comparison to the savage MK the lakefield only has a front action screw, the savage uses a second standoff (male bolt with a female nut head to attach the action screw, this piece fastens the trigger assembly to the rifle and allows a mounting point for the action screw)
In comparison to a friends savage, the screw hole is smaller on the lakefield, and apparently they made their own random proprietary thread size and pitch, so I've read that folks will tap it and use a fastener called a standoff.
Anyone know more on this?
