Bushmaster ACR non restricted and available in Canada?

I saw on a local dealers website that they are bringing in non restricted Bushmaster ACR's??

Sounds exciting!

Anyone have one? Shot one or know what the price point is like?
 
Still hasnt been produced by Bushmaster, some vendors here got a bit too ambitious by listing it this early.
You are better off just buying a normal ACR with a non restricted barrel, thats what I did.
 
A couple years ago many of the dealers offered these with a pre order for a DMR version that would be NR. Not there fault they never delivered.

I hope the dealers didn't take money on those pre orders for these as it has been years since they were announced, if they did I would be pissed in having to wait this long with money out.
 
I don't know? I noticed on a dealers website that it said they were taking deposits and expecting June delivery.

I hadn't seen it before but that's not to say that it's been there a long time?
 
Most places I talk to say 3rd quarter of 2015... I heard 3rd quarter of 2014 as well last spring so who knows... I've been after this rifle for a while. While yes you can take a standard ACR, barrel it, and have it verified, you are going to be well above the original 2799 price tag these were offered at and probably still over the latest 3299.99 price tag.

Currently Calgary Shooting Center has one for 2899 in Restricted, non enhanced which is... well overpriced to say the least, but then you are looking at 500$ for a barrel (just one place that quoted me, could be lower, could be higher) plus the fee to have it re-verified by a gunsmith which i'm assuming would be between 100-200$ to justify his time.

The DMR version if it ever magically appears, comes setup with a Geiselle Trigger(260$ price tag), Non Res Barrel, Much better PRS style stock(which is worth 2-300$ depending on what it would take to convert the original stock to this style stock)

So I would say you are getting alot better bang for your buck w/ the DMR version, albeit a big buck.

Also, its few and far between to find someone with a restricted ACR anyways that isn't charging a fortune for them. I'm kicking myself for not picking one up on the EE sooner then i would at least have SOMETHING to shoot lol

No, we have restricted Enhanced models for $2819.

I doubt any retailers are going to honor the original price since our dollar is down a lot since the offering.

Just going by what I was told on the phone by someone who wasn't interested in my business, I've used you guys quite a bit so I know that there is alot of good buys behind the counter, my last dealing just left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth when I was made out to be bothering the fellow by asking him to verify if it was enhanced, or regular, at which point he scoffed and said non-enhanced.

Well I apologize for this, but please if anyone has an issue with staff please let us know. We can't correct things if we don't hear about them. All staff should be providing their name when answering the phone.

Thanks, you are right and I should have brought it to someones attention but fear not, I still would buy again from you guys I just was a little sour with that last conversation :) Nothing bothers me more than walking in somewhere or speaking with someone and them not investing any time in you because they think you are just a tire kicker or "Can't afford" what you are looking at. I originally had a background in sales and you could never judge a person when selling something, it's usually the guys that don't look like they are buying that end up spending the big $$ :p
 
Im tempted to sell mine to pay some bills since its the nicest gun but cant seem to make the EE ad lol.
