anyone know where a guy can pick up a complete ( whole or parts ) factory trigger assembly for a savage axis ( non accutrigger ) .

I have some idea's to make it better , but they are irreversible changes .

even just a bolt release / sear would be great .

as a side note , once the yellow paint is removed from the trigger spring , the spring tension is totally adjustable .

the bearing surfaces on the trigger and sear are also in desperate need of honing and polishing .

here is a pic of what I'm after . while the whole trigger assembly might be nice , the more I think about it all I need is the sear ( which doubles as a bolt release .. )

I might give savage a phone call in the next couple days so see what they want for one and if they are able to ship it north

The one I could sell you was never fired by me and I bought the rifle new. I changed the trigger, stock and scope before ever taking it out to shoot. Although I believe the sear is still part of my rifle.

I've come to that realisation too , no one is offering a sear to go with the trigger kit .

I'll find out in a couple days when I phone savage how available and how easy it is to get these parts in Canada
