Been wanting a short barrel magfed shotgun for sometime, not a very good selection here in Canada. All summer of 2014 I was following the Black Aces and SAP6 threads on this site to figure out what one would fit my needs.
Needless to say the review of the Black Aces was very poor so I scratched that off the short list. Been following the SAP 6 reviews and with stock getting low I decided to purchase one on Friday March 13th. After a week later on my Tactical Imports account my order was still processing, funds withdrawn for the purchase was on March 16th. So I sent a message to Tactical Imports on Friday March 20th, no reply. SAP6 was delivered on March 25th, disassembled and cleaned and the next day I headed to my range to sight in my red dot and see how it performed with Score slugs. A very frustrating 20 minutes later I packed it up and headed home. Called Tactical Imports and got a answering machine, so left my info and requested if I could return the SAP6. Later that night while at work I noticed a message from TI which informed me e-mail is a better means of communication. Fired them off a email requesting that the SAP6 was not feeding or extracting and would like to return for a refund. Was given advice on short shucking and did I try different mags. Again emailed them back and told them I used 4 different mags and was not shorting the pump and again asked if I could return it. Got a reply requesting I ship the SAP6 to Herron arms for them to look at it. I again emailed back asking if I could just return this firearm as I work long hours and to be honest don't want to bother with it anymore. TI responded back with their return policy which states, “Returns may be accepted on new items only within 7 days of the date the product was received, All original packaging, accessories and manuals must be included and undamaged. All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Additional 20% restocking fee applies to used items.” So since I fired this firearm it would be considered used and I loose 40%......Great policy.
I headed back to the range on March 30th after another cleaning, with 5 different types of ammo. The video will explain the rest.
Over all the SAP6 is a neat design, but does not compare in reliability to other short barrel shotguns I have owned ( Rem 870P/14", Mossi 590A1/14", Fabarm Martial14, Fabarm Pistola)
Video of the two trips to the range ( WARNING I do swear a lot)

Herron Arms had the SAP6 for approx. one month. TI indicated that it could be a lower problem and Herron Arms was " applying the fix" then testing.

Hello Dave,
The SAP6 was just recently received, the gunsmith has started working on it. He suspects it may be a lower issue, but is going to do some testing.
May 11 the SAP6 was shipped back, and it was not a replacement like TI has posted here. It was the same gun that had the lower worked on.
Replacement sent May 11th, our gunsmith verified proper function. Our apologies again for the problems
After receiving the tested to work 100% SAP6 I headed to the range again with 4 different types of ammo and tested.

As you can see it is better but still jams about 50% of the time.
TI was in contact after seeing the video and wanted to let Ian from Herron Arms check the mags now.
At this point I told both Herron arms and TI to forget it. Over 2 months jerking around with this SAP6 is ridiculous, why should the customer have to spend months just to get a functioning firearm.
May 26 2015, back to the range to verify the mags. I just brought the 2 6 round mags, one being the one I shipped to Herron Arms. As the video shows it does indeed look like the mags are for the most part the problem. I also filmed me loading the mags as it was brought to my attention that the rims on the shells could bind and jam up the gun. I tried to purposely get the rims on the shells to lock up or bind but with this design mag I cannot see how it would be possible.
Also during my testing it seems the rear rail screw loosened off and the front bead screw sheared off during firing LOL.
I also slowed my rate of fire down and removed the spring assist. Just used Score slugs on this trip as for this is the ammo I shoot all the time ( Thanks Ammosupply.ca )
I know see were the mags need to be played with and hope on my next trip out the SAP6 works more like it should have from the get go.

June 1 2015 back to the range and was hoping the mag work I did would make this purr. Seems to be better but still not perfect. After 200 rounds on this I am giving up and have listed it on EE cheap, maybe someone else will have better luck.
My advice to anyone looking at buying a SAP6 is don't, stay very far away.
