Two issues really. Out of the blue one of my original Beretta mags wants to fall free with almost every shot. Sister mag runs fine. Could it just be the mag release needs a cleaning or possibly something else?

Second my new Mecgar will not feed 2 rounds without jamming. The feed lips are tight and i have bent them out as close to factory mag specs as possible but its still not enough. Is it time to break out the file or take it to a pro?

This is my go to gun so not having to work is a major bummer.

So what do i use then??? Promag is pos.

I agree Promag is a POS. My Kel tec Sub 2000 came with in the Beretta 92 clip confirguration with a Promag clip. Gun would jam stove pipe, would not run at all. Stuck in a Beretta 92 mag, gun instantly runs 100% with any ammo. Night and day difference. Took me awhile to figure it out, assumed it was ammo related at first.

Dunno. Most of my beretta mags were/are older px4 mags (garbage, feed lips spread, would crack along the rear spine if left loaded.) The more recent ones seem better.

Had some beretta 92 mags that were solid, but they and the gun are gone. Promag certainly are the bottom of the barrel as mentioned.

Other than the promag falling free with every round i have never had an issue. It does not like 180gr. But i blame that on the nr barrel job. I just load 155/165 with no issues.

I tore it down tonight and totally flushed the internals and re oiled everything. Was not that dirty but it cant hurt.
The bad mag seams to seat fine now but i wont know until i get to shoot it again.

Dont be afraid of getting a CX4. Great gun all things considered.

Cx4----I thought they were hideous!!!
My son bought one about a month ago.
Ok; I looked at it.
Ok; I handled it.
He let me shoot it.
Now I have one too!!
In 9mm-----such fun!!!!
2 beretta mags & 3 promags, Have put 800 rds thru it in 2 weeks, not a single malfunction..........same with my sons--his was new & mine used.
