If it will shoot a standard AR upper, you may still have the restricted issue.
It will for sure. Which is dumb as hell but Yep.

Why not just make a whole gun... Seems dumb to put this on a restricted lower.... Why not just make it just accept ar stocks and grips...
Also, I imagine that it would damage ar parts over time.
I think price point is the main benefit.
You can make/sell this upper for less than you can make/sell a complete gun for.
Most of their customers already have an AR-15.
Many people only shoot at a range anyways, so non-restricted doesn't really amount to much benefit for them.
For the people who complain about it being restricted;
Do you live on a farm where you can safely shoot 50-BMG in the backyard?
I'm curious as to where people would like to shoot this caliber rifle, outside of a designated range.

As much as I want to believe this is an April fools thing, ATRS does have a non-restricted AR lower with no mag well and something weird pin/block thing that they made several years ago because Rick had a Ferrett or Safety Harbor upper and they were selling these non restricted lowers that worked with modified ferret uppers and were non restricted so this isn't too far out of the scope of reality
