RCMP 2015 New Black Rifle NR Expectations

It would appear he is asking if anyone knows if there will be any new non restricted black rifles coming to market in 2015.

No, no one other than the rcmp know if they will approve any new rifles via frt entry.

Actually the Jard 48 has been released and is now available in canada. It's a .223 , semi auto, AR trigger , barrel, etc. Takes AR mags and has a wylde chamber.

...about the only part of the post that made any sense...

Maybe he's asking if we can expect any current NR's to be re-classified this year like what happened last year? Who knows. They had their eyes on the Tavor.

No. They didn't. The RCMP can't change the classification of the Tavor without a politician's help. That type of change would require an Order in Council.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the OP is posting from Quebec, so his mother tongue is probably French not English, so take it easy on the "witty" comments.

As to his question I can assume he is just curious as to what non-restricted rifle one can expect to be assigned a FRT number in 2015.

That is a answer that no one can answer because the RCMP lab has no obligation to us or do they have time standard they go by.

Thanks HBean, this is exactly what I tried to knows, sorry for my poor English.

Wow,29 posts of smartass ridicule vs. 3 posts of somewhat useful info in answer to the OP....nice community.
Honestly,IMHO you don't have to be a rocket scientist, nor speak French, nor posess much more than 3rd grade reading comprehension skills to figure out what he was asking.Tuff crowd.

That thing finally made it over here? Which store(s) have it in-stock? Did a google search but came up with nothing.

Pas besoin de présenter des excuses au sujet de votre anglais . étant un atterri immergrant moi , anglais ne est pas ma langue maternelle et mes compétences de frech sont courtoisie du traducteur Google . Laugh2

I probably just butchered what I am trying to say.

Really? I'm pretty sure they did exactly that to 2 rifles last year. This amnesty they granted was just to let the smoke clear and let most of us forget what happened then they will ask for them all to be turned in.
The amnesty is a crock of cr@p anyway, now those once non restricted rifles are to be treated as restricted and only used at the range until they come calling.

Why would your precious Tavor be any different if they decided they wanted them out of our hands? No politician stepped in and gave them a peepee slap, no politician told them to reverse their decision, we were given just enough back to shut us up and most people seem to have already forgotten about it. Our community needs to stand together like we did back then all the time, seems like most just moved on with the customary "I don't own one so it doesn't really affect me" attitude now.

Back on track, no word yet on any new black rifles that I've heard of. We only find out once they are given an FRT.

Easy there, I think what he's getting at is that the RCMP have no legal basis whatsoever to prohibit the Tavor, whereas with some of the CZ's (the ones before 2007 or whatever it was) and the Swiss Arms they were able to make a case for them being "converted automatics", as stupid as that is. The Tavor's are all purpose built semi auto's and meet the NR requirements, to prohibit them would require an OIC, otherwise I'm almost positive they'd be prohib already.
I own one of the now prohib CZ858's, and my precious Tavor. I don't know where you got "I don't own one so it doesn't really affect me" attitude from fenceline's comment, we're all in this together, especially if we own a Tavor or any semi auto for that matter.

Am I mistaken,or is there not some recent ruling that forbids the RCMP from randomly changing a gun's status from here on forward?
ie;it's my understanding that once a gun gets thru the lab, gets it's FRT,and NR status, they can't just change the status on a wim anymore?Hence the absurdly long FRT wait times at the lab?
Please forgive my ignorance, kinda new to the whole black gun scene.
