After using a Lee Loader for years to load shotgun, I finally picked up a Mec 600 Jr from a member on the forum. A question for you Mec users? I know you can buy individual bushings but do they sell complete kits already made up of the moper popular bushings?

Thanks.

No MEC does not sell a set like Lee does. The closest thing would be a Universal Charge Bar, most MEC will eventually go this route.

Agree with the above.

Don't trust the charts for the UCB, make sure to weigh them till you get it set up. Also order extra brass washers, they work better than the MEC ones, at least for me.

Thanks Lads. I have a Universal bar and found it is really a pain to set up and while checking it the powder weight seem to increase as I loaded. As a rifle loader for years I don't like that. I have all the shot bars too so I figured I should switch over to the bushing set.

Agree with you 100%. I have tried and tried the universal bars for years but don't like them. I eventually one at a time bought pretty much a complete set of bushings but mainly use 10 or so once I got the common loads for me figured out.
If bushings you want I would focus on what you are going to reload the most and start with the bushings there for the powder you are using weighing the drops until you get the bushings figured out then not as much as you deem required. Normally the one the chart recommends and the one below sometimes but rarely the one above
I also tweek my bushings to ensure they are dropping correctly but have to be honest the ones I buy today are pretty dam close which is fine for shotgun. Also make sure as the boys stated you use the brass washer and the newer style charge bars with the white teflon insert
A WTB listing on the EE would be a good place to start if not hummanson stocks a ton of mec items
Cheers

Ive just bought a charge bar, but currently using powder throwers for some one off kinda reloads and a certain bushing stays in it for my target loads. More powder in the container, more powder comes through it, less near the end is slightly less by about .2 gr which isnt huge in the shotgun world.
