Does anyone know for sure what the thread size/pitch is for the take down screw on a Cooey Model 60? I think it's 5/16" x 32 TPI, but can anyone confirm?

I have a stripped one on a rifle and I either need to get a die and make a new one or get a bolt or piece of threaded rod I can just cut to length.

Well my issue started with some random Cooey parts being assembled into a complete gun.....because I had mostly enough of the pieces to make a complete unit.

It's 5/16-32 , UNEF (Unified, extra fine) thread. Not too common, I just had to track down one of the locknuts and not very easy to find. A machinist could make one if he can cut threads, would not be cheap though.

Thanks for the confirmation!

Unfortunately it would probably cost as much as the rifle cost just to get a die to thread a piece of rod. Not sure it would be worthwhile to get a tap and die and make a few pieces to sell, or if there are enough surplus pieces out there, or enough demand for these pieces anyways.

Not that it would be a lucrative business or anything. And not like I need more things to do.....
