A box of Bondo, 50 yards of sand paper, some Canadian Tire Spray Paint, good as new!

anyone who coves rust/pitting on steel with bondo/body filler is a complete hack I see it all the time on cars when guys turn want to be body men. covering/filling rust with body filler only lets the problem get worse its made to fill small imperfections(dings and dents that can be raised/knocked down) in sheet metal

They look like little more than hunks of FeO₂ (rust) to me. RMS Titanic is in better condition !

I bet if it were a American helmet that would be a different story battlefield relics are cool and shot a big part of history

I reckon an inch thick for the Bondo on the Helmet is a good start! Then the Paint Job with two rattle cans of different colors sprayed at the same time.
